Taiheiyo Club - Gotemba Course

Designed by world-famous designer Reese Jones and supervised by Hideki Matsuyama.
Many top players such as G. Norman, S. Ballesteros, J.M. Olazabal, Masashi Ozaki, and Hideki Matsuyama have been named as successive champions of the world-class tournament that Japan boasts to the world.
The stage is the Gotemba Course at the foot of Mt. Fuji, a masterpiece designed by Shunsuke Kato, which has been holding tournaments since its opening in 1977.

  • Tomei Expressway < Gotemba I.C. > approximately 9 km and about 18 minutes
    Tomei Express, Gotemba I.C. Exit the old National Route 138 (Exit 1) toward Lake Yamanaka, turn left on National Route 246 towards Numazu, and turn right at the Kawashimada intersection.
    After about 4.1 km of road, you will arrive at the course.
  • Tomei Expressway < Susono I.C. > approximately 10.7 km, about 18 minutes
    Tomei Expressway, Susono I.C. get off, exit the toll booth and go straight for about 2 km towards Suyama, turn right at the first traffic light, turn left at the next traffic light, go straight for about 5 km, turn right at the intersection with the traffic light, go straight for about 3 km to get to the course.
  • Chuo Expressway, Higashifuji Goko Road < Subashiri I.C. > approximately 10 km, about 18 minutes.
    Central Highway ~ Higashifuji Goko Road, get off Subashiri I.C., go straight out of the toll booth, go down National Route 138 for about 4.8 km, turn right at the 'Ninsugi' intersection, and go straight on National Route 469 for about 2.5 km.
    Turn right at the T-Junction and go straight for about 2.8 km towards Fuji and arrive at the course.
By Train, Taxi, and Express Bus
  • Odakyu Fujisan-Go
    Get off at Gotemba Station (1 hour and 40 minutes from Shinjuku) and take a taxi for 20 minutes
  • Tokaido Shinkansen
    Get off at Mishima Station (1 hour from Tokyo) and 45 minutes by taxi
  • Highway Bus Stop
    Tomei Gotemba I.C. from the side and 20 minutes by taxi

Hole 6
A new bunker was established on the left of the landing zone.
The guard bunker was also rebuilt and newly established.
In response to the opinion of Matsuyama Pro, either Par 5 / Par 4 (510 yards) can be set up to a layout. If it is par 4, the difficulty will increase considerably.

Hole 18
Reshaping the fairway bunker to "Tee shot that makes you think".
The green left bunker was also rebuilt, and the pond on the right of the green was added 8 years in the back.
The target became severe and became a more dramatic final hole.
