Appi Kogen Golf Club
With a vast total area of 1,300,000 square meters, Appi Kogen Golf Club is a notable highland golf course well incorporating its natural terrain.
The Champion course and the Queen course have a total of 36 holes (2 9-hole courses each). The Champion course is famous for its challenging course settings that require solid strategies, with histories of hosting the Ladies Professional Golfer's Association of Japan tournament 7 times.

CHAMPION COURSE
The Champion Course is designed to incorporate refreshing views of mountains of Hachimantai and Iwate in the background. A strong strategy is necessary for the best results.
HACIHMANTAI HOLES
(Yards: Blue=3,394yards, White=3,114 yards)
| Hole 1 | Start off your round with a relatively straight par-4 hole. Aim slightly left on the fairway near the pine trees off your tee shot. |

| Hole 2 | Woods on the righthand side of the fairway are OB. Do not hit your tee shot too hard! A pro tip is to aim slightly left for your next shot. |
| Hole 4 | A short 171-yard hole from the white tee. There are some obstructions such as bunkers and undulation of the green that require a precise shot. |
| Hole 5 | A par-5 hole doglegs to right. Lay up for your second shot, carry to the green on the third as the green is hard to see from a distance. |
IWATESAN HOLES
(Yards: Blue=3,585yards, White=3,278yards)
| Hole 1 | A par-4 hole with a down sloped fairway. Aim the mile of the fairway, and watch out for a bunker behind the green. |

| Hole 2 | A par-5 hole doglegs to left. On this flat hole, try to keep the middle of the fairway so that you can avoid OB on the right. The sloped green is a little smaller, a careful approach is required. |
| Hole 4 | A complex terrain on a par-4 hole creates some wind effects. Stroke the first shot to the right side of the pine trees on the fairway. |
| Hole 8 | looks easy at a first glance, but the undulating green and bunkers surrounding it make it challenging. Aim right before the pin for approach is recommended. |
QUEEN COURSE
Queen course has some distinctive features such as sloping fairways and doglegs courses that never get you tired of playing.
There are two 18 holes on Queen course, the Towada holes and Ryugamori holes. Unlike the Championship Course, you can enjoy the games of golf in a self-play style where you will walk around the course carrying your own carts.

MAPLE COUNTRY CLUB
Test your technique and strategies!
Maple country club first operated in 1987 after 3 years of careful construction following its motto "nothing built in haste becomes prestigious". In some courses at this club, some aspects of world's top golf courses such as double-greens of St Andrews in hole 1 and 10 have recreated. The club is located 30 minutes' drive from the Morioka Station and 40 minutes' drive from the Hotel Appi Grand.
